This program introduces students to the art and craft of designing wearable pieces — exploring how form, materials, and process come together to create objects made to be worn, used, and enjoyed in everyday life. Students test and experiment with paper models to work out the perfect shape, form, and size before creating a final product for practical use — a method professional fashion and product designers use to prototype and refine designs before committing to final materials.
Format: This program typically runs 10 weeks, with the option to add sessions (such as a final showcase) depending on the school's schedule.
Class Themes (selected together based on group needs and interests):
Project themes are not limited to what's listed here, and can be tailored to the interests and creativity of each group of students.
Students develop hands-on skills, creative confidence, and a strong understanding of design process — from concept, to prototype, to finished, wearable product.
