This course is designed to introduce students to traditional, manual craft and design methods, often forgotten in the era of computer based creation.
The curriculum begins with plant fiber based paper-making process and then continues into various artistic applications of paper: origami, paper sculpture and casting, printmaking, brush and ink painting and textile design.
Some of the exciting projects include making custom pop-up cards, colorful relief prints, T-shirt designs, 3 dimensional objects made out of paper, and fabric pattern designs.
We encourage students to use their senses to interact with physical world around them. Our goal is to inspire students to become creators, not just consumers; original thinkers, not just followers of trends.
*We customize the program content to fit the age, abilities, and interests of the student group.
